How Water Jet Cutting Works?
Water jet cutting technology utilizes high pressure water with or without an abrasive substance to create a cutting tool that travels at three times the speed of sound. With this tool, virtually any material can be cut without thermal deformation or hardening, with the lowest mechanical load and the best possible material usage.
Speed and accuracy are easy to achieve with the Waterjet Intelligent Taper Control System. That tilts the cutting head to produce more accurate parts to virtually any shape. The sophisticated nesting software orients the parts in a manner that maximizes material yield and diminishes waste. The advantages of using the water jet is that it offers precise parts with superb edges, no thermal distortion or degradation of materials and an overall cost efficient way for fast turn around of finished parts. Our Mitsubishi Water Jet can cut up to six inches thick and can accommodate materials with different machining properties and accuracy of up to +/- 0.003 .
